Series "Gruppenportraits"
(Ensemble Portraits)
The Ensemble Portraits originally were meant as PR material for the live project "Scriabin Code". This ensemble consists of 5 musicians and me as a live visual artist. I made complex collages from standardized portraits of the participants, and also used historical photos of people who play a role in "Scriabin Code".

The group portraits mix the peculiarities of the members in a psychologically strongly effective way. This is true both for the persons depicted, who want to recognize themselves and their position in the group, perhaps somewhat comparable to a family constellation.
For neutral observers, the first impression is bizarre, perhaps funny, perhaps a little spooky. But usually, after a short time and contemplation an urge to explore arises: What comes from whom and why, it is a bit of a game of recognizing and interpreting.
Ensemble Portraits exist first of all of the members of "Scriabin Code". But it is a series that will be continued permanently. They could well serve as a group-dynamic motor to bring insights and movements into groups: Leadership of a sports club, families, staff of a farm or large corporation, self-help group, etc....
The Ensemble Portraits are printed in small format (26 x 30 or 18 x 30), each in an edition of 10 on Hahnemühle Photo Rag in 11-color printing. On request, one copy of each portrait can be printed in a large format (120 cm high).
